Seriously, I love polka dots. I have an entire section of my closet devoted to shirts and dresses to fit my irrational attraction and appreciation for them. If I was a smart shopper (which I never will be), I would be responsible and buy solid colors that never go out of season. But, my print-centric brain makes me love polka dots, and flowers, and stripes, and….I digress.
Kate Spade also shares my deep respect for polka dots, which makes me a huge fan of my Kate Spade Colbie Hill purse (I got this purse during one of her flash sales, which makes me feel a lot less guilty). But between the supple leather and polka dot interior, it’s one of my favorite things.
So in honor of those who suffer from a serious obsession, I created some of my favorite pieces I’ve stumbled accross online.
Alice in Wonderland was always my favorite book growing up – what could be better than a political allegory disguised as a whimsical and charming children’s tale? Okay, but English major ranting aside, I adore these photos by the incredibly talented Annie Leibovitz. Annie, thank you – fashion photography (and photography in general) will never be the same.
I die everytime I see this series. Annie Leibovitz, you are a goddess!
I’m moving into my new apartment tomorrow, and while I’m excited with all the new things I’ve purchased (thank you Target god!), these are my cravings for my home one day (hint, they all have a touch of chevron – one of my favorite prints)
Alright thrift store gods, let’s do me a solid and see if I can find any of these gems? Lusting for chevron.
Rachel Roy is an inspiring person to me for many reasons. Besides successfully creating beautiful collections and crave-worthy pieces, she’s an entrepreneur, philanthropist, and genuine kind person. She is the epitome of all things I love merged into one, and I hope to one day find my niche in fashion and business like she has!
Here’s a blog she guest wrote for the Huffington Post about public speaking. There’s tons of great tips for anyone looking to make a splash and use public speaking more! http://www.huffingtonpost.com/rachel-roy/public-speaking-tips_b_1545393.html
